Most of the guests stayed in the 'standard' rooms at the marina hotel, which are really nice. Very large, nice sitting area, 1.5 bathrooms, all around great. We were in one of the suites, Ambassador suite, it was a truly incredible room. We stayed at the Marina hotel - Adult only. We had a total of 24 people with us, and I will give an honest assesment of the property. My wife and I had our wedding here, and our honeymoon. We look forward to a return-but not until the renovation is complete Many eating and shopping options just a 5 minute walk from the lobby. There is nothing like the private island the beach is warm and the water is always calm. The pool overlooks downtown and the pool across the street is big, warm and near a little private beach. As other reviewers write this hotel has everything you need and the amenities are upscale and enjoyable. One would think that a property this size would have-should have been able to prevent that from happening/perhaps that would explain the odd gleam in the eyes of the woman that checked us in, whom we did not see the rest of our trip. We heard construction noise in our room coming from the room above us from 8 am to 5pm no matter what time of day we went back to our room. It appears that a long needed facelift is ongoing, which is one of my issues for my 2nd stay in 2 years. This hotel is nicely located in downtown and has many amenities you would expect at a Marriott.
